BBQ Sauce - Kansas City Style (Sweet)

Our sweet sauce is styled after Kansas City barbecue sauces: sweet, thick and tomato based.  This one is great on ribs and chicken.
Since it has a lot of sugar, don't use it for cooking on the grill unless you just mop it on at the end for a few minutes.  Otherwise your meat will char when the sugar burns.
This recipe is easy to put together and once you try it, you'll never go back to the bottled stuff again!  As with all sauce recipes, adjust to your taste and create your own unique sauce.

Ingredients:
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 Tblspn steak sauce (A-1)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tblsp onion powder
2 Tblsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 Tblsp chili powder
1 Tblsp liquid smoke

Mix everything together and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy!
